Polish Office in Taipei

From January 17 to March 19, 2023, the Not Just Library (Taiwan Design Museum) hosted the exhibition The Most Beautiful Polish Books. It was organized by the Taiwan Research Design Institute in cooperation with the Polish Association of Book Publishers (Polskie Towarzystwo Wydawców Książek) and with the support of the Polish Office in Taipei.

Polish parliamentary delegation arrives in Taiwan for 5-day visit, which will help deepen contacts between friendship groups from both parliaments.

The Polish Office in Taipei and the Taipei Representative Office in Poland signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the Taiwanese-Polish working group on semiconductors. The new platform will help build cooperation and share expertise on cutting-edge technologies.

The Polish Office in Taipei in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the National Agricultural Support Centre (KOWR) organised the Polish national stand at the "Food Taipei" fair in Taipei, which is one of the largest fairs in the food industry in Asia.

The Polish Office in Taipei, in cooperation with the Book Institute, organised a Polish stand at the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE), which took place from May 2-7. Books of such authors as Stanisław Lem, Wisława Szymborska and Olga Tokarczuk were presented at the Polish stand. There was also a virtual meeting with a Polish writer Witold Szabłowski. Poland will be the guest of honor at next year's edition of the TIBE book fair (January 2023).

The Polish trade delegation has signed three memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Taiwanese partners to foster cooperation and attract new investments in advanced technologies, electromobility and environmental protection. Both sides also agreed to establish a working group on semiconductors.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Mr. Grzegorz Piechowiak arrived to Taipei with a trade delegation for a 3-day visit to discuss new cooperation opportunities in such areas as business, trade and technology.

An international donors’ conference for Ukraine is to be held in Warsaw on 5th May. The event is being spearheaded by the Prime Minister of Poland - Mateusz Morawiecki and the Prime Minister of Sweden - Magdalena Andersson, in partnership with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. This initiative aims to provide humanitarian support for Ukraine.
