08.04.2025

NFA Disaster response training

On April 8th, the first 2025 Fundamental Disaster Preparedness and First Aid Training for representative offices in Taiwan was held at the headquarters of the National Fire Agency (NFA). The event was organized by the NFA in collaboration with the Polish Office in Taipei. The main goal was to present Taiwan’s disaster response system and conduct a practical first aid course for consular staff. A total of 35 participants from 20 countries took part in the training.

During the training, participants learned about the functioning of alarm systems in crisis situations, how to respond to natural disasters and their associated warning systems, as well as basic personal protection measures in the event of a disaster.

Close cooperation with local emergency services is essential for effective communication in the event of natural disasters. The knowledge gained during this session enables more effective assistance to citizens living in Taiwan.
