07.06.2022Polish stand at the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE)The Polish Office in Taipei, in cooperation with the Book Institute, organised a Polish stand at the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE), which took place from May 2-7. Books of such authors as Stanisław Lem, Wisława Szymborska and Olga Tokarczuk were presented at the Polish stand. There was also a virtual meeting with a Polish writer Witold Szabłowski. Poland will be the guest of honor at next year's edition of the TIBE book fair (January 2023).

The event is being spearheaded by the Prime Minister of Poland - Mateusz Morawiecki and the Prime Minister of Sweden - Magdalena Andersson, in partnership with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. This initiative aims to provide humanitarian support for Ukraine.
