Polish Office in Taipei

During a bilateral academic seminar in Tainan, Lodz University of Technology and National Cheng Kung University signed an extended academic cooperation agreement. The agreement includes student and research exchange programs, Chinese language courses, and access to a wide range of scholarships, such as the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity, the International Internship Pilot Program (NSTC), and the Taiwan Experience Education Program. The previous agreement, in place since 2011, was limited to a few fields. The new agreement significantly expands the scope of collaboration between the leading technical universities of both cities.

During the meeting, it became clear that the two universities are connected not only by an agreement but also by nature — one of the main symbols of both institutions is a majestic tree: the "Fabrykant" Oak at Lodz University of Technology and the large banyan tree on the NCKU campus.
