Marcin Ryczek's photography exhibition at Taipei SPOT Film House

Marcin Ryczek Photography Exhibition in Taipei

From 15 to 29 June, the Polish Office in Taipei organized an exhibition of photographs by the Polish photographer Marcin Ryczek at the exhibition space of Taipei SPOT Film House. The artist’s distinctive black-and-white photographs have gained international recognition for their minimalist compositions and remarkable ability to tell stories through simple forms, contrasts, and symbolism.

The exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to pause for a moment and view everyday life from a fresh perspective through images that captivate with their simplicity while inviting deeper reflection. At the same time, it presented Poland as a country that inspires through contemporary art expressed in the medium of photography.

The exhibition coincided with another Polish cultural event organized jointly by the Polish Office in Taipei and the Polish Music Publishing House (PWM Edition), which took place at Taipei SPOT Film House during the same period. On 18 June, the venue hosted screenings of the film Bacewicz x Bomsori, accompanied by a lecture on the life and work of the Polish violinist and composer Grażyna Bacewicz, followed by a violin duo recital. Together, these events allowed cinema audiences to experience Polish culture through both the visual arts and classical music.
