Polish Office in Taipei

On 18 June, screenings of the film “Bacewicz x Bomsori”, organized by the Polish Office in Taipei and the Polish Music Publishing House (Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne), took place, accompanied by a lecture on Grażyna Bacewicz and a recital by a violin duo performing works by the Polish composer.

The film “Bacewicz x Bomsori”, which tells the story of the Korean violinist Bomsori Kim discovering the works of the Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz, was presented in Asia for the first time during the Taipei screenings. In addition, thanks to the presence of a representative of the Polish Music Publishing House, the audience had an opportunity to learn more about the life and artistic achievements of Grażyna Bacewicz, as well as to listen to compositions written by the Polish violinist during a recital performed by a Taiwanese violin duo accompanying the event.

The event, which attracted enthusiasts of classical music and cinema, was attended by Mr. Janusz Bilski, Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, representatives of the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs, members of foreign missions accredited in Taiwan, as well as representatives of the Taiwanese business community.
