The 2024 Taiwan-Poland Higher Education Forum

The 2024 Taiwan-Poland Higher Education Forum, co-organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, FICHET, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, took place on November 5, 2024, at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). Representatives from 24 Taiwanese universities and five Polish educational institutions gathered to expand academic and research cooperation.
Li Yu-juan, Director of the Department of International Education at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the importance of educational ties since the 2018 bilateral agreement between Taiwan and Poland, which has led to over 100 partnerships and an active student exchange program. Additionally, Polish delegates, including senior representatives from the Polish Academy of Sciences, joined Taiwanese representatives in discussions on higher education strategies, technology, physical sciences, and sustainable development. The Polish delegation also visited Academia Sinica and the National Palace Museum to strengthen scientific and cultural connections.
