Polish Graphic Design shines throughout the Taiwan Design Week
13.12.2024
The Taiwan Design Week (TDW) event, held from December 7–15, 2024, showcased representatives of Polish design. For the first time in its history, TDW had a national partner, and that partner was Poland.
Polish Graphic Design, in collaboration with the Polish Office in Taipei, presented two exhibitions of Polish design art at the Not Just Library passage in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. These exhibitions, titled “History of fonts and symbols” and “The ghosts of tomorrow”, introduced Taiwanese audiences to the rich heritage of Polish design. Additionally, Polish designers delivered a series of lectures at Ming Chuan University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and the Taiwan Graphic Design Association.
The highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for bilateral cooperation between the Taiwan Design Research Institute and Polish Graphic Design. Another notable Polish achievement was the recognition of Studio Podpunkt, which received an award during the Golden Pin Design Awards for its branding project for the National Museum in Kraków.
