Polish Office in Taipei

On 6 October, Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, Mr. Janusz Bilski, attended the press conference launching the Taipei Jazz Festival 2026. During the event, he delivered opening remarks, highlighting the importance of jazz as a platform for international dialogue and cooperation.

One of the key components of this year’s festival is the One Voice for Taiwan project, led by Polish saxophonist Sylwester Ostrowski and supported by the Polish Office in Taipei. The project brings together musicians from Poland, Taiwan and other countries, creating opportunities for collaborative performances, improvisation, the exchange of experiences and the development of new artistic connections. One Voice for Taiwan demonstrates how jazz can transcend borders and bring different musical traditions together. Artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and with varied experiences meet through the project, finding a common language in music.

In autumn 2026, Poland and Taiwan are connecting through jazz in a series of events, including concerts, workshops, improvisation sessions and direct encounters between artists. The Polish Office in Taipei’s participation in the launch of the Taipei Jazz Festival 2026 and its engagement in local cultural events highlight the growing cultural cooperation between Poland and Taiwan.
