12.08.2026
From 6–12 August 2026, with the support of the Polish Office in Taipei, the Polish Graphic Design Foundation organized a Polish pavilion at Creative Expo Taiwan 2026, held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
The event brought together representatives of Poland’s creative sector, including Maciej Łazowski; Zosia Dzierżawska from the Polish Association of Illustrators; Adrian Hołota and Maciej Popławski from Panowie Programiści and TrendBook magazine; Dorota Stępniak from the Creative Industries Institute; and Rene Wawrzkiewicz from the Polish Graphic Design Foundation.
As part of the programme, five Live Act 3D: Virtual Sculpture performances featuring Maciej Łazowski were held, showcasing the live creation of virtual sculptures and 3D illustrations. Maciej Łazowski also gave a lecture and demonstration on the fair’s main stage. Zosia Dzierżawska from the Polish Association of Illustrators also delivered two lectures.
Industry meetings and networking were an important part of the project. Discussions were held with representatives of Taiwanese companies, studios, design organizations, trade fairs and universities. Promotional materials presenting Polish companies, brands and organizations from the creative sector were also distributed during the event. The English-language magazine on Polish design, "PLOP – Polish Design Revue", as well as the publication "Slanted Warsaw", dedicated to contemporary design and the visual culture of Warsaw, were also promoted.
The Polish Graphic Design Foundation’s participation in Creative Expo Taiwan helped promote contemporary Polish design, showcase Polish creatives and companies, and establish new contacts and opportunities for cooperation between the Polish and Taiwanese creative sectors. On the Polish side, the project was supported by the Polish Office in Taipei, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the Polish Association of Illustrators. The Taiwanese partners of the project were Creative Expo Taiwan and the Taiwan Design Research Institute.
