18.11.2023
On November 18, the Polish pianist living in Taiwan, Kamil Tokarski, for the fourth time presented Fryderyk Chopin's works to the Taiwanese audience in Da'an Park in the center of Taipei.
Anna Majchrzak provided commentary and presentation of individual musical works in Mandarin. The audience also had the opportunity to listen to the works of the Polish pianist Karol Kurpiński performed by Kamil Tokarski's young students.
Kamil Tokarski is not only a piano virtuoso, but also a teacher and propagator of Polish classical music in Taiwan. The concert was a joint effort of the Polish Office in Taipei, the Taipei City Government and the Fryderyk Chopin Foundation in Taipei. The open-air form of Chopin's concert refers to the tradition of open Chopin concerts in Warsaw's Łazienki Park.
The concert was very popular with the audience. Approximately 1.5 thousand people sat around and near the stage.
