Katowice and Kaohsiung have become sister cities

The mayors of Katowice and Kaohsiung present the signed agreement

The partnership between the two cities is, above all, an opportunity for dynamic economic cooperation, the exchange of experience, the development of innovation, and the building of relationships between entrepreneurs. It also has a cultural dimension, involving mutual discovery of traditions, art, and heritage. Youth exchange is of particular importance as well, enabling young residents of Katowice and Kaohsiung to gain new experiences, develop their skills, and build international relationships for the future. Katowice has become the second Polish sister city of Kaohsiung, alongside Gdynia! The signing ceremony of the partnership agreement was attended by the Mayors: Marcin Krupa on behalf of Katowice and Chen Chi-Mai on behalf of Kaohsiung. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, Janusz Bilski, the Vice Mayor of Kaohsiung, Lo Ta-Sheng, as well as the Chairman of the Katowice City Council, Łukasz Borkowski.
