19.09.2026
In September 2026, the third Taiwanese concert tour took place as part of the Poland–Taiwan Jazz Connection project, featuring the Anna Maria Jopek Quartet. This year's edition once again brought together musicians from Poland, Taiwan, and the United States, presenting the contemporary face of Polish jazz to the Taiwanese audience and creating a space for international artistic collaboration.
As part of the tour, the quartet performed three concerts in Kaohsiung and Taipei. The first concert took place on September 19 at the DaDong Arts Center in Kaohsiung, followed by a performance on September 21 at the YuChen Recording Studio in Taipei. The tour culminated on September 26 with a concert at the Wan Taiwan Performance Hall in Taipei, which was held as part of the opening ceremony of the TTTIFA 2026 – Dadaocheng International Arts Festival.
The quartet consisted of: Anna Maria Jopek (vocals), Piotr Wojtasik (trumpet), Matthew Fullen (piano), and Hsun-Shun Hsu (double bass). Their joint performances provided an opportunity to blend diverse musical traditions and experiences, further developing artistic cooperation between Poland and Taiwan.
The program of accompanying events for this year's tour also included educational and media activities. Anna Maria Jopek gave an interview to the Taiwanese radio station ICRT, introducing listeners to her work and the Polish jazz scene. Meanwhile, Piotr Wojtasik led a jazz workshop where participants had the opportunity to develop improvisation skills and work on their own musical language under the guidance of one of Poland's most acclaimed jazz trumpeters.
