Information regarding the processing of personal data

In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (GDPR), we inform you that:

  1. The administrator, within the meaning of Article 4 point 7 of GDPR, of your personal data is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, based in Poland, in Warsaw (00-580), Al. J. Ch. Szucha 23.
  2. The Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, based in TWTC/ITB Suite 1601-1602, No. 333, Sec. 1, Keelung Rd., Taipei, 110, performs the duties of the administrator concerning the data contained in the consular collections he maintains.
  3. The Minister of Foreign Affairs has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who fulfills his duties regarding the data processed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign missions. This role is performed by Mr. Daniel Szczęsny.

  4. Only persons authorized by the Administrator have access to the data.
  5. The data contained in consular collections are processed based on the grounds contained in Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR to fulfill the duties of the Consul of the Republic of Poland arising from separate legal provisions (specified in the table below).
  6. The data are protected under GDPR provisions and cannot be disclosed to third parties who are unauthorized to access them, and they will not be transferred to a third country that does not provide a protection level at least equivalent to that provided by GDPR. Data may be transferred to a third country only when such an obligation is stipulated by Polish law or European Union law, in accordance with Articles 44-46 of GDPR.
  7. Your data may be shared with relevant entities, including public authorities, based on legal provisions.
  8. Providing your personal data is a legal requirement and is necessary for considering the matter.
  9. Unless specific provisions state otherwise, you have the right to control the processing of your data as specified in Articles 15-19 of GDPR, particularly the right to access your data and rectify, delete, or limit their processing (if Articles 17 and 18 of GDPR apply).
  10. Your data will not be processed in an automated manner that could affect decision-making with legal effects or similarly significantly impact you. The data will not be profiled.
