D-type national visa - information for students
The original document of the Letter of Acceptance from the Polish school or university and a letter from the Taiwanese school/university (if applicable) must be included to the visa application together with all other required documents mentioned in D - Type national visa section.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
All applicants should submit the documents as indicated on our checklist for student visa. The attachment is available at the bottom of this page. THIS APPLIES TO BOTH NEW STUDENTS AND APPLICANTS CONTINUING THEIR STUDIES IN POLAND.
! Please pay attention to the following requirements !
All new and current students applying for a D-type national visa are required to provide:
- proof of accomodation (rental agreement, property ownership, booking confirmetion etc.);
- a financial statement (to be presented in the form of a credit card statement or bank statement issued by a bank based in an EU COUNTRY) that covers:
- the entirety of your accomodation fees based on your proof of accomodation,
- cost of living fees (approx. 700 PLN per month),
- return trip costs (2500 PLN).
IMPORTANT: New first year students (bachelor's degree or long cycle studies)
The Polish Office in Taipei informs that individuals commencing their first year of university studies are required to provide a high school diploma recognition statement issued by the Director of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The NAWA's Director individual recognition statements on secondary education certificates confirming the right to apply for admission to first-cycle studies or long-cycle studies are issued
- within 60 days from the date of submission of the complete set of required documents in the SYRENA System,
- in a form of a digitally signed PDF document,
- in Polish,
- free of charge.

ATTENTION: If your secondary school certificate has already been recognised by the Regional Educational Authority (Kurator Oświaty) you can apply for admission to a Polish university - the NAWA's Director individual recognition statement is not required.
