2025 Chopin Outdoor Recital
16.11.2025
On November 16, 2025, the Polish Office in Taipei organized the sixth edition of the open-air Chopin Recital. The event took place at the Daan Park Amphitheater in Taipei.
The pianist performing the recital was Wei-Ting Hsieh — a two-time participant of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, including this year’s 19th edition.
The event opened with a speech by Director Janusz Bilski, referring to patriotism and Poland’s Independence Day, celebrated earlier this month. The recital was accompanied by visual and lighting displays, and thanks to the event’s emcee, the audience had the opportunity to learn about the origins of Chopin’s compositions as well as the biography of the outstanding Polish pianist.
This year’s recital attracted a record-breaking audience, filling not only the seating area but also the surrounding park space, where listeners enjoyed the performance in a picnic-like atmosphere.
The popularity of the annually organized Chopin Recital highlights Taiwan’s growing interest in Polish culture, particularly Polish classical music.
